Vehicle Accident On Noblestown Road
Stations 215, 267, 209, and medic 195 were dispatched to a vehicle accident on Noblestown road going towards sturgeon. 215 Engine 1 and 215 QRS arrived on scene to find a sedan had lost control and went over a small hill and into the side of building. There was odor of gas so engine 215 crews pulled the trash line off in case of fire. While 267 and 215 crews attended to the 2 victims 209 crews helped with traffic control. Both victims were transported to the hospital.
     
Residential Structure Fire in Sturgeon
Station 267, 215, and 209 were dispatched to residential structure fire on the corner of Wall Street and Back Street. Engine 267-1 arrived on scene first to a 2 story wood frame structure and smoke showing on all sides. 267 command requested Mcdonald station 12 be toned out for extra man power. Engine 215-1 arrived on scene and hit the hydrant at the corner of wall and back street. 267 crews advanced a 1 3/4 into the kitchen and did quick knock down of the fire. while 215 crews went to the roof to vent. 215 and 12 personel also went to the attic to check for extension. 209 crews helped extinguish hot spots and do overhaul. Allegheny county fire marshal was notified and found the cause of the fire to be cigarette butts dumped into the garbage.
 
 
 
Residential Structure Fire in Oakridge Heights
Station 209, 215, and 152 were dispatched to a residential structure fire in Oakridge Heights trailer park in North Fayette. 209 C1 arrived on scene first to confirm the trailer was fully involved. Engine 209-3 hit the hydrant and 209 crews stretched 1 3/4 lines to the back of the trailer where the seat of the fire was and kept the fire from spreading to the adjacent trailer and shed. Engine 215-1 and 152 crews arrived on scene. crews from engine 215 took a line from Engine 3 and advanced into main entrance to extinguish the rest of the fire, and hydraulically vented the house. 152 crews then helped extinguish hot spots and overhaul. After 2 hours Engine 215-1 was released by 209 command and returned back in service.
 
 
 
Vehicle Accident on Clinton and Maple Avenue
Station 215, Engine 267-1 and Medic 195 were dispatched to a MVA at the intersection of Clinton and Maple Ave. Rescue 215 arrived on scene to find 2 cars involved. Rescue 215 crews cut power to cars and assessed patients. The driver of the red car was still in the car bleeding from the head resulting from hitting the windshield. the driver of the other car was ok and the child had a minor neck injury. Engine 215-1 and Engine 267-1 arrived on scene and cleaned up debris off the road and laid down oil dry, and absorbent clothes. All units clear of the scene after the cars were towed away. All three victims were taken to the hospital. 

 
 
 
Commercial Structure Fire at Boocks Bar
October 16, 2006 approximately 4:40am: Station 215 (Oakdale), Station 267 (Sturgeon) and Station 209(North Fayette) were dispatched to a working commercial structure fire at Boocks Bar in Oakdale. Engine 215-1 arrived on scene with a full crew. 215 assistant 1 had initial command.215 Chief arrived later in the incident. Command asked  for a 2nd alarm which was truck 12(McDonald), RIT 125 (Presto) and station 269(Oakridge) for manpower. The Salvation Army canteen and a bus from Green's taxi were brought in later for rehab. The first floor was fully involved with fire coming out of all windows. Engine 215-2, Rescue 215, and QRS 215 arrived on scene. 215 L-3 broke open the 2 remaining glass doors, while Engine 215-1 crews pulled a 2 1/2 line and a 1 3/4 line to each door and quickly knocked down all fire in the first floor. Engine 215-1 crews also went up an exterior stairway  leading to the upstairs apartment to do a search, but were met with extreme heat, and were forced back down the steps. This resulted in one fire fighter getting burns to his hand.  The crew with the 2 1/2 line tried to make entry to extinguish a few hot spots but were hit by falling debris causing them to back out to the entrance. The crew with the 1 3/4 line made their way through the other entrance to the kitchen but encountered little fire. Engine 267-1 and Engine 267-2 arrived on scene and 267 crews took a 1 3/4 line from Engine 215-2 and stretched to the side office, but encountered little fire as well. When the fire was knocked down on the first floor, fire was already threw the roof, 215 command asked for 266 (South Fayette #1) Truck. Engine 209-4 (tele squirt) arrived on scene next to Engine 215-1 and truck 12 arrived on scene and backed in next to Engine 209-4. Engine 269-1 arrived on scene and staged next to Engine 215-1. 215 command instructed Engine 209-3 and truck 266 to go to Oak Engineered Products Inc. parking lot to have Truck 266 set up aerial operations to back of the building across the creek. Truck 12 crews set up aerial operations and Truck 12 crews went to the roof of the Dentist's office next door to knock down heavy fire that was stopping any crews from making an attack from inside the building. Engine 209-4 set up the tele squirt to attack through the left 2nd story window, while 215 crews set up their preconnected  ground monitor to apply water into the right 2nd story window. Truck 12 attacked on the roof, while Truck 266 had a perfect angle to get to the rest of the roof that was now on fire. 2 hours into the incident, 215 command placed the fire under control. Crews extinguished  hot spots and overhauled 'till noon when 215 command released all units except 209, 267, and 269 for extra cleanup, Engine 269-1 foamed the upstairs and downstairs, with CAFS  to keep it from rekindling.and assisted in venting the dentist's office for minor smoke damage. All units clear of the scene around 1pm.

Landing Zone at Kindred Hospital 
A few minutes after Station 215 being put on standby for Stations 209, and 267, while they were at a structure fire. Station 215, was called to fill in for Station 209 to set up a landing Zone at Kindred Hospital for Life Flight. Engine 215-1 responded to the call with a full crew, and had another crew to stay at the station for the stand by.
 
 
 
Vehicle Accident on Seminary Avenue
Station 215, Station 269, and Medic 815 were dispatched to a vehicle into a pole on seminary ave, Rescue 215 arrived on scene first to find a car had hit a pole then drove up the hill to hit the next pole. The driver was no where to be found. Engine 215-1 arrived on scene and cleaned up debris on the road. Collier township police found the driver walking up the hill, and rescue 269 advised 215 command they were going to stop there to assess the patient. Medic 815 arrived on scene and provided patient care. Once a tow truck came, 215 command placed all units back in service.

Vehicle Accident on Oakdale Road
Early in the morning Station 209 and 215 were dispatched for Vehicle accident before the S-bends on Oakdale Road. Rescue 215 was first on scene to find a newspaper delievery truck had lost control and hit a telephone poll, the driver had self extricated. Engine 215-1 arrived on scene, and shortly after engine and rescue 209 arived on scene, and had all man power stage in front of rescue 215. After power to truck was cut and driver transported to the hospital by medic 195. 215 command released engine 215-1, and held rescue 215, and 209 crews to wait for tow truck and power company.
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
Possible Residential Structure Fire in Hawthorn
During a fire department softball game at the north fayette ball park, station 209 and 215 were called for a possible residential structure fire in hawthorn. 215 crews arrived on scene first to a town house, to find a stove's heating element that shorted out, and caused a little smoke, 215 crews turned off the power to the stove and pulled it out from the wall, and avised the home owner to call maintenance. 209 command released all 209 and 215 equipment and was clear from the scene in less then a hour.
 
 
 
 
 
 
Vehicle Accident on Noblestown Road in North Fayette Township
Passenger car with 1 occupant traveling on Noblestown Road, went off the road striking fire hydrant and flipping onto its roof.  The driver was entrapped.  215 crews stabilized and performed extrication, while 267 stabilized and gained access and initiated patient care.  Driver was uninjured and transported to OVGH by P.D.  Station 209 dispatched to set up LZ then disregarded.
 
 
 
 
 
 
Possible Residential Structure Fire on Pinkerton Run Road
Station 209, and 215 were dispatched to possible structure fire (a smell of smoke in the garage) on PinkertonRun Road, Engine 209-3 and Engine 215-1 arrived on scene  with nothing showing. 209 command let all other units go except 209-3 and 215-1. 209 and 215 crews stayed on scene to find the source of the smoke. The cause of the smoke was due to a bad garage door opener. after the cause was determind all crews returned back in service.
 
 
 
 
 
 
Vehicle Accident at PTI
Station 215, 267, and 209 were dispatched to a vehicle accident in the PTI parking lot. Engine and rescue 215 arived on scene first to find car Vs. motorcycle, the rider was thrown from the bike and landed on a patch of grass, and was un hurt. 215 command cancelled all units not on scene yet. 215 crews contained fluids on the road, and returned back in service.
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
Vehicle Accident on Nobelstown Road

After Returning from there 5th call of the day which was a CO alarm. The members of the Oakdale Hose Company were in front of engine 215-1 with the bays open talking about the early mourning fire. When there was a sudden crash down the street. Apparently the driver of a newer model Dodge lost control of her car and hit a truck parked out in front of the Oakdale Inn crushing the front passenger side tire into the fender which made steering nearly impossible. The driver continued down the road going over the curb in front of Sils corner store. Then turning straight for the fire dept the driver met by firefighters stunned by what they were seeing yelling for the driver to stop and turn off the car. The driver at the last minute cut the wheel and came to a rest 3 feet from a building on a curb after knocking our "No Parking, Fire Dept." sign over. The members ran over and quickly cut power to the car. The driver was not hurt. That made 6 calls for station 215 that day.

 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
Residential Structure Fire on Union Ave.
Stations 215, 267, 269, and 209 were dispatched for a confirmed structure fire. Chief 215 first unit on scene, responding from home. Chief reported a 2 story wood frame structure, with heavy smoke, and flame already through the roof. Chief 215 requested Truck 310 (Mcdonald VFD) and Station 125 for RIT.  E215-1 was on scene about 30 seconds later, and hit hydrant on Union Ave. (oakdale boro side), and proceeded to the fire scene. Order was given to attack with one 1-3/4" and one 2-1/2" line. Attack crew had to break out window of front door for access. Police on scene reported that it was thought that all occupants were out of the structure. First in crews found no fire on the first floor, proceeded upstair to fire area. Steps led into a hallway, heavy flame in hall. Bedroom at the end of the hall was totally involved. Fire was extinguished in upstairs rooms, but there was extensive fire in the attic area. Engine 125 laid line from hydrant on  the S.Fayette twp side to Truck 310. Truck 310 raised ladder for operation. Effort to control fire in attic wasn't making headway. From outside, roof began looking compromised. Order was given to evacuate the structure at 00:57. Truck 310's waterway was used to knock down fire from an exterior attack. Waterway was then shut down and crews entered structure to attempt to finish extinguishment. Efforts fell behind once again, and Truck 310 once again made an exterior attack. Interior crews were then able to complete extinguishment. Fire was put cautiously under control by Chief 215 at 1:28. Crews then began extensive overhaul operations. Request to notify utilities at 1:00. Request for Allegheny County fire marshall at 1:34. Fire marshall investigated and determined short in wiring on second floor to be cause. Possible Residential Structure Fire on Main Street

Stations 267, 215, 209, and 310 were dispatched to a possible residential structure fire on Main Street in North Fayette. Engine 215-1 arrived on scene first and found heavy smoke coming out of the living room window. 215 crews advanced a 1 3/4'' hose line into the front door, and sent extra men inside to do primary search. Interior crews reported no victims, but have not found the source of the fire. Engine 267-1 and engine 215-2 came on scene engine 215-2 hit the hydrant at the bottom of Main Street while 267 crews took another 1 3/4'' line off of engine 215-1 and advanced into the basement door behind the house. Engine 209 and engine 310 arrived on scene shortly after and 209 crews went on the roof to ventilate. In the basement they found where the fire had started. It turns out the electrical problem ignited a shelf of folded clothes. The fire from the clothes burned threw the exposed water pipes which ironically put out the fire. Vehicle Accident on Union Ave Extension
At 11:02 pm Station 215 and  Station 269 were dispatched for a car accident on Union Ave Extension in South Fayette. The Driver was driving his SUV down the Union Ave Extension when he lost control hit a guard rail then immediately broke off a fire hydrant, while dragging the fire hydrant he continued for roughly 120 feet when he grazed a telephone pole. Then hit a full size van, a SUV and a car that was parked side by side in a driveway and taking a few garbage cans with him. When he hit the van he caused a chain reaction witch pushed the 3rd car on to a 4th car that was parked in front of the garage. Rescue 215, and QRS 215 arrived on scene with police. After 215 EMT's did a quick assessment with the patient, he was put in a waiting ambulance. Engine 215-1 then arrived on scene, cut power to the SUV. 215 command asked dispatch to call the water authority to fix the broken hydrant that was now flowing water down another drive way. Also notified was the power company about the cracked pole. Station 269 personnel closed down both ends of the road and set up extra lighting to clean up the scene. All units were released after the water authority, power company arrived on scene, and the 4 cars towed away at 12:44.
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 







 
 
 
Residential Structure Fire at Redwood Estates

Station 209, and Station 215 were dispatched to a Residential Structure Fire at Redwood Estates. 209 crews arrived on scene and found a mobile home with heavy smoke coming out the front door, 209 crews attacked the fire while Engine and rescue 215 arrived on scene and 215 crew did primary search, and found no victims. The fire was quickly put out and, county fire marshal was called to investigate. 215 was soon released by 209 command.

Possible Commercial Structure Fire at Woodland Manor 

Station 209, EMS 195 and Station 215 were dispatched to a Possible Commercial Structure Fire at 1000 Oakdale Road - Woodland Manor. Engines 209-3, 209-2, and rescue 209 arrived on scene to a clothes dryer on fire in the 1st floor laundry room. 209 crews quickly brought the fire under control. Engine and rescue 215 crews ventilated the 2nd floor and did another search.

Station 215, 267, 209, and RIT 125 were dispatched to a Possible Residential Structure Fire on Clinton Avenue, engine 215-1, and rescue 215 arrived on scene to nothing showing, Engine 215-1 hit the hydrant next to the house and had a crew search the inside while a 2nd crew waited out side with hose line. Engine 267-1, 209 crews, and RIT 125 arrived on scene and 215 and 267 crews went to the basement and found a malfunctioning sump pump that caught fire. Brush Fire on Noblestown Road
Station 215 and Station 267 was dispatched to a brush fire endangering the woods on Noblestown Road. Engine 215-1 on scene first and found to 2 small brush fires. 215 and 267 crew extinguished the fires.
 
 
 
 
 
 
Stove fire on Forest Glen Drive
Stations 209, 215 and Medic 195 were called to Forest Glen Drive in North Fayette for a reported structure fire. Chief 209 and Deputy Chief 209 arrived on the scene at the same time with nothing showing from the outside.  Chief 209 set up "Forest Glen Command" while the Deputy Chief went inside to investigate a grease fire in the kitchen.  The resident had a fire on the stove and attempted to put it out with water, which actually caused the fire to grow larger.  A quick thinking neighbor with a fire extinguisher doused the blaze before it could spread.  Since the fire was extinguished, command placed station 215 back into service and held 209 units on scene.

 Vehicle Accident on Mckee Road
Rescue 215, Engine 215-1 and Rescue 209 were dispatched to a vehicle accident on Mckee Road Rescue 215 arrived on scene first and found a black sedan had lost control and hit a wooden fence and then a pile of rocks. The driver was no where to be found. 215 command canceled Rescue 209 and 215 crews cut power to the car, and cleaned up the scene until a tow truck could arrive. 
 
 
 
 
 

 
 
 
 
 Possible Structure Fire at Hawthorn Apartments

Station 209, 215, and 267 were dispatched to a possible structure fire at the Hawthorn apartments in North Fayette Township . Engine 209-1 arrived on scene and found a small grill on the deck of an apartment knocked over catching the deck on fire. 209 personnel put out the fire, and put 267 on stand by. Engine 215-1, QRS 215 and Rescue 215 arrived on scene and help 209 check for extension and do overhaul.

Gas Leak on Bateman Road

Station 209 and Station 215 were dispatched to a gas leak resulting from a boat and trailer being disconnected from a passing truck hitting a house and breaking the gas meter off, Engine 215-1 came on scene with a crew of 4. 209 and 215 crews checked the rest of the house for any gas leaking into the house.
